With two weeks of activities, MAS celebrates Astronomy Day 2024

With unprecedented activities at the Tobalaba Urban Market (MUT) and participation in the Astronomy Festival at the Mirador Interactive Museum (MIM), the ObservaMAS program dedicates two weeks to celebrate science, 10 years after this celebration was established in the country.

Let's Look at the Moon

Thanks to a partnership with Mercado Urbano Tobalaba, MAS celebrated Astronomy Day 2024 with various activities in this commercial center of the capital. Starting with the installation of the Exposición «El Universo a Pequeña y Gran Escala»The week ended with two nights of lunar observation, which for the first time took place in the middle of Santiago's urbanization. In addition, the following workshops were held «Una Nebulosa en tus manos» y «Astropintura».

With the presence of Undersecretary Carolina Gainza, the official launching of Astronomy Day was held at Planetario de Santiago


Astronomy Festival at MIM

Organized by the Ministerio de Ciencias next to the Museo Interactivo Mirador (MIM), las celebraciones concluyeron con la Fiesta de la Astronomía. En la oportunidad, MAS realizó su taller «Arma tu telescopio» y participó en la jornada de observación nocturna.
