The recognition was given by LIQCAU Project. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>With the aim of strengthen the inclusion of girls and women in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) area and recognize inspiring women that have reached a successful career among these disciplines, is that three years ago the award \u201cPremio Referente Mujer STEM\u201d is given. The <strong>LIQCAU Project<\/strong>organizes the awards, initiative carried out by the Consorcio de Facultades de Ingenier\u00eda de la Regi\u00f3n de Antofagasta <a href=\"https:\/\/heuma.cl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HEUMA<\/a>which gathers the Faculty of Engineering from the Universidad Cat\u00f3lica del Norte (UCN) and from Universidad de Antofagasta.<\/p>\n<p>In its third version, five areas were prized: Industry, Mining, Pyme Ebterprises, Emerging Talent, and Science &amp; Technology. In the latter category, <strong>Millarca Valenzuela received the award, Professor from the Geological Department UCN and MAS researcher. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Ph.D. in Geology is the first scientists in study meteorites in our country. She has promoted projects to protect these objects in Chile and has an outstanding career in researching these space rocks. Furthermore, is part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fcla.cl\/fripon-chile\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>FRIPON-Chile<\/strong><\/a>in which MAS is involved, a follow-up camera networking of extraterrestrial particles that land in national territory in order to classify its impact area and claim these objects.<\/p>\n<p><em>Credits: UCN<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00abUnleashing the proper motions: revolution in the inner Galaxy\u00bb.
