Profesor Asociado de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile desde 2009. Recibió un doctorado desde la University of Virginia con un pre-doctorado en el National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) en Charlottesville, VA. Pasó varios años en la Penn State University, Cambridge University, and Columbia University como investigadora postdoctoral.

Research Interests
Franz’s research interests include investigation of deep blank-field surveys (radio through X-ray) to study AGN demographics, the co-eval feeding and evolution of galaxies and super-massive black holes, structure formation, and the study and characterization of nearby supernovae, high-mass X-ray binaries, and other transients.
