[/fusion_text][fusion_text]I am Industrial Engineer, master in Computer Science from University of Concepción and former research scholar at the Institute for Applied Computational Sciences (IACS), Harvard University. I am currently working as research assistant at MAS and also as adjunct profesor at University of Concepción.
My research interest is mainly focussed on deep learning applied to computer vision tasks. This means that I want to make the computers understand the images and their underlying patterns.
For this kind of tasks, we usually require a large amount of annotated images, which in practice, as for example in astronomy, is time consuming and hard to obtain. My objective on MAS is to design and build an algorithm to classify images using the least amount of annotations possible

Actualmente trabajo como asistente de investigación del MAS y además como profesor adjunto en la Unviersidad de Concepción.
Mi investigación se basa en aprendizaje profundo aplicado a visión computacional. Esto es, darle la habilidad a las máquinas de entender las imágenes y sus patrones subyacentes.
En este tipo de tareas, usualmente se requieren una gran cantidad de imágenes etiquetadas, las cuales en la práctica, por ejemplo en Astronomía, son muy difíciles de obtener.
