ObservaMAS joins once again “Congreso Futuro en tu Comuna” to carry astronomy to citizenship

The alliance between the Millennium Institute of Astrophysics MAS and “Comisión de Desafíos del Futuro” Chile’s Senate Commissioning is from long ago, however, due to the pandemic, the in-person activities were suspended. This 2022, the project “Congreso Futuro en tu Comuna” came back, in which MAS collaborates with several astronomy outreach activities.

In 2018 and 2019 were carried out massive Observation Nights in Recoleta, La Granja, Lo Prado, La Reina, and even in Peñalolén, having as a background the beautiful Baha’i House of Worship. Nevertheless, due to the pandemic situtation and the cease of in-person events, the activities of “Congreso Futuro en tu Comuna” (CF) took a pause.

This 2022, and with an under-control sanitary crisis, the Millennium Institute of Astrophysics Outreach Program, ObservaMAS joins CF once again to carry out a series of talks and workshops in different communes of the Metropolitan Region and in regions.
