[/fusion_text][fusion_text]I am an astronomer, from the north of Chile. Throughout my research, I have studied several extragalactic populations using both models and observations. I obtained both my BSc in Astronomy and Ph.D. in Astrophysics at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, working in cosmological simulations of galaxy formation and evolution. Later I was a Fondecyt postdoctoral fellow at Universidad de Valparaíso, focused on dusty star-forming galaxies towards strong-lensing galaxy clusters observed with ALMA. I arrive at the Center for Mathematical Modeling as a postdoctoral researcher. I continue exploring the extragalactic universe, now in the time domain, as part of the ALeRCE project. I am interested in studying transients, especially active galactic nuclei and tidal disruption events, and in learning ways to bring data science tools to astronomy.

A lo largo de mi investigación, he estudiado distintas poblaciones extragalácticas usando tanto modelos como observaciones. Obtuve mi Licenciatura en Astronomía y Doctorado en Astrofísica en la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, trabajando en simulaciones cosmológicas de formación y evolución de galaxias. Más tarde fui investigadora postdoctoral Fondecyt en la Universidad de Valparaíso, enfocada en galaxias cuya formación estelar es obscurecida por polvo, en campos de cúmulos de galaxias (que actúan como lente gravitacional) observados con ALMA. Llego al Centro de Modelamiento Matemático como investigadora postdoctoral. Continúo explorando el universo extragaláctico, ahora en el dominio de tiempo, como parte del proyecto ALeRCE. Me interesa estudiar transientes, especialmente núcleos galácticos activos y eventos de disrupción tidal, y aprender maneras de incorporar herramientas de ciencia de datos a astronomía.
